In 2018, I was approached by Axia Group, a newcomer in the commercial property management market.
As a new company, they needed a logo designer who could give them the professional visual expression they needed.
They were reportedly so successful in their property management work that, by 2019 - just 8 months after launching - they were acquired by a larger company. As a result, Axia Group is now just a part of history.
A Logo with Edges and Angles
Axia Group's brief was clear: they wanted a sleek and timeless logo that could stand on its own without always needing the company name, and it needed to reference the name "Axia."
In Greek, "axia" means value, and the name also refers to axes and angles in construction. This became the inspiration for the logo I designed for them.
Inspiration and Concept for the Logo
Imagine standing on a street corner in a big city, looking up at the corner of a commercial building...
This was the basis for Axia's logo. The four "boxes" can represent bricks, windows, and street signs, while also incorporating axes and angles.
As for the colors, the company wanted something that would stand out from the competition—something noticeable without being over the top. We chose a combination of pink to draw attention and a stately blue to convey trust.
The logo I designed for them is now also part of history, but it still deserves a place in my portfolio.
